The dates and locations have just been published for the County Cup Finals.

The Under 10s will kick off at 12.45 and be followed at 2.30 by the Under 14s.

Both games will take place at the King George V Playing Fields Complex in Ferndown BH22 9EN.

It would be really nice if we could try and get as many Bridport players and supporters up to cheer on the team and make a day out of it.
It is appreciated its quite a long way, but we do not get teams in the final very often and this will be a great day for the players taking part.

There will be other teams and age groups competing in their finals so it will be a great day of football.

We would like all 15 players to be there, but we can only play 14 on the day. Its a team effort, but one will have to miss out.

For those wishing to go early and watch the Under 10s in their cup final I will have a few spaces and will be leaving at around 11.45.

Everyone else who is travelling directly, please be at the grounds by 1.15 at the very latest.  We need to be changed and ready an hour before kick off for a good warm up and preparation.

If you have any transport problems or anything else please get in touch as soon as possible.

Bridport's Under 14s started their league cup group stage games with a win at Div 2 Chickerell United.  Assistant Manager Stuart Allen doing a superb job getting the team working with the absence of several key players.

The visitors had just 12 men for the first time this season, but they ground out an important victory to put three points on the league cup board.  Bridport's kit clashed with the home team and they had to wear bibs, and started by playing up the slope in the first half.

It was a scrappy game, but fairly even in the first half. Joe Mace Mckenney in goal keeping another clean sheet.

Bridport's Under 14s made it through to their first ever Dorset Cup Final with a comfortable victory over Dorchester Raiders at St Marys Playing fields.

This game had been re-scheduled from the previous week due to a frozen pitch, and it was still quite heavy. Bridport still tried to pass the ball around but backed this up with superb fighting spirit and determination.

A few early half chances saw the home team have marginally the better of the opening exchanges. Nerves were then settled when Freddy Woolner went on a superb run and set up Rhys Hayter to finish well and put Bridport into an early lead.
