U13W - Dorchester Tigers 3 - 3 Bridport Youth

The wanderers travelled to Dorchester to play the Tigers in the group rounds of the league cup, playing a team in a higher division and as it turned out only playing with 10 players were expecting a very hard game. Right from kick-off the Wanderers made great passes and playing with very positive team work and a very strong defence line, which held Dorchester back, with lots of end to end play both teams fought hard, but half way through the first half Ben Joy chipped the keeper, giving the wanderers the lead, towards the end of the first half the Tigers managed to get through Bridports defence and after hitting the cross bar scored a goal and 5 minutes later the Tigers did it again and scored their second goal making the half time score 2 – 1 to the Tigers.

Our last match of the season took us to play Weymouth Wanderers, with Bridport hoping for a last win after what has been a hard season, with lots of changes having to be made to the team.
The match started with great enthusiasum from both teams, both wanting the win, but with Bridport having much of the possession and Weymouth unable to penetrate the strong Bridport defence and Blu making some brilliant saves. The first goal came half way through the first half from Ben, and with 3 goals coming in quick succession in the last 15 minutes of the first half, the game being played from end to end making it a great game to watch for both sets of supporters. The goals being scored alternately with Michael scoring Bridports second, making the score equal at 2 all at half time.
