This was a hard thought victory played in a high tempo game where work rate and determination were the order of the day. We played very well and it was a great team performance. Our back line were strong throughout and Grant was excellent in goal. Grants overall game was excellent and he pulled off a great save diving to his left from a close range shot also holding the ball saving a certain goal when the game was finely balanced. The front line of Moragn Mika Finlay and Oscar worked tirelessly all game, their movement and inter play was at times superb. Raiders are as we know a very good side and they put us under a lot of pressure through out the game. Our first goal came from good pressure in the penalty box from Morgan and we went in 1 up at half time. The second half was similar we hit the cross bar a couple of times one from a great shot from Finlay which deserved a goal. The second goal came from good work from Mika which culminated in a low shot hitting the back of the net. The last 10 minutes saw us soak up a lot of pressure which we coped with admirably the did get a goal back with a few minutes remaining. Oscar was moved into the hole in front of the defence and gave us some resilience.
This was a good team performance well done lads just two games to go and then we prepare for next season with the larger team with more flexibility on a larger pitch will be very exciting.

This was a fantastic day out at a good venue and I thought the whole day was excellently organised by the Dorset FA, the match officials did a great job. The support was nothing short of magnificent, it was wonderful to see so many people there and to see many people not directly connected with the team supporting us. The atmosphere was excellent and I thought Poole contributed to it with a nice bunch of supporters and team management.

A good team performance saw Bridport run out comfortable winners against a determined Blandford side. We started well from the beginning which was important, we pressed and closed them down when we were not in possession. To win a game of football it equally important to be determined in possession as it is when you do not have the ball. We were strong when they had the ball and this contributed to disrupting their game. Sam playing in the centre of defence did well and made some important interventions. We got off to a good start with a well worked goal taken my Morgan from the right hand side of the penalty box.

A game played in glorious sunshine on a lovely pitch that had just enough give in it. This was a good game for us we were always comfortable and they rarely troubled us being restricted to long range shots that were well dealt with by Grant Rist. Grant bossed the goal area really well calling for the ball and coming off his line. On one rare occasion when they did get through he bravely came off his line to save at their forwards feet. We played three across the middle with Manny Cox holding back Isaac House on the left and Cole Lydon on the right.

This game was played in lovely conditions on a poor bumpy pitch where the ball was moving all over the place. We did not play as well as we can and our passing game deserted us on occasions. Vikings are a difficult side to play against, they have a couple of talented players including a lad who plays in the centre of the defence who is enormous and undoubtedly some of our players were intimidated by his presence. We started reasonably well but did not get hold of the midfield so we always looked rushed. The back line had to be busy all afternoon and did very well, Ryan Leader, Cole Lydon in the centre of defence and Finlay Davy.

This was a game played in ideal conditions by two teams who enjoy playing attractive football with the ball on the ground with good passing and good forward progression. This game also enabled us to try players in different positions which is a valuable experience for the players and the coaches.
Bridport started well and their movement was good looking to use the space down the wings. Isaac House in the centre of midfield had an excellent game throughout and looked dangerous on the break. Cole Lydon was also very impressive at the back both in the centre of defence and later at right back. We started with Manny Cox as the striker and he worked hard in an unfamiliar role. Harry Payne playing on the right side of midfield showed some good touches.

The first thing to say about this game was that it was an excellent advert for youth football played by two teams who were committed and determined throughout. The football at times was breath taking. Neither team gave anything away and were fired up from the start to the finish which produced an outstanding game of football. The games was watched by over 60 supporters who generously cheered both teams which added the fantastic occasion. The game was played in a good spirit inspite of the significance of the occasion both teams were sporting and played with a good attitude there was not a nasty foul to be seen, no one argued with the ref and players showed commendable respect to each other.

This game was played in very difficult conditions with a strong blustery wind. It was a day for playing the ball on the ground and generally that's what we did. This is a game in which we were always the better side by a margin and had it not been for a bit of bad luck we would have scored many more. We were able to give good game time to Archie Bird-Hallet and Harry Payne both of whom did very well Archie winning the man of the match for a very disciplined display. We started well playing into the wind our movement was good and we were creating chances the first goal came as a result of a defensive error where their defender under pressure put the ball into his own net.

A game played on a cold but bright afternoon produced an entertaining game of football. The score line does not tell the whole story as the game was much closer than the score indicates.
Throughout Poole played some lovely football keeping the ball on the ground and passing well. We took a long time to get going and were decidedly flat but as the first half wore on we managed to improve the tempo of the game. About half way through the first half with the score at 0 0 Grant Rist pulled off a magnificent save diving to his right to put a fierce shot past the right hand post. That acted as a wake up call and we started to produce some more decisive play.

The first thing to say is that this was a magnificent team performance to reach the semi finals of the Dorset Cup. We knew that we would have to be at our best, determined and disciplined. We started well and our movement was good using the wings to create space and crossing opportunities. Morgan Napier was working very hard and causing their defence problems, he nearly scored from two well worked crosses putting the ball just over the bar with headers.
