Bridport Youth Football Club - Welcome
Welcome to our new web-site for the 2012/2013 Season. Age groups range from Under 8 to Under 16.
Bridport Youth have 12 teams playing in the FA Mini Soccer leagues and Dorset Youth Football League. We provide regular football in a safe environment for over 180 players.
U10 - Bridport Youth 1 - 2 Portland United
Although Bridport could not improve on their confirmed third place finish, Portland needed a victory to ensure they lifted the league title. Matches between these two sides are always well contested and very close and this was no exception and it acted as the perfect final game to a long season for Bridport.
U11 - Bridport Youth 1 - 1 Longfleet Lions
Playing with 10 versus 10 as both teams had many players unavailable, Youth were once again solid and resolute playing with real intent all afternoon.
Every boys attitude was top notch and as the game flowed Youth had the better of the chances, resulting in a goal from William who took his shot well beating the keeper after some good work from Cameron and Jaydon.

U10 - Blandford Reds 1 - 4 Bridport Youth
Bridport bounced back from their disappointing defeat to Dorchester Raiders with a hard fought 4-1 victory away at Blandford United with Jay Huxter stealing the headlines with a second half hat trick, having come off the bench.
Bridport started very brightly and quickly settled in to their natural game of passing and moving on this generously sized Blandford pitch.
U11 - Weymouth Youth FC 0 - 1 Bridport Youth
This game was played on a smaller pitch than normal, the pitch was hard and there was a swirling wind to make life difficult. We started well and it was one way traffic for most of the first half, we had the wind with us and that was a helping factor. Our shape was good and the all important back line maintained their shape as well as any time this season.

U10 - Dorchester Raiders 2 - 1 Bridport Youth
Bridport's outside chances of winning the league title were dealt a fatal blow when they suffered a shock defeat against a very physical and highly motivated Dorchester Raiders team, resulting in Bridport now being unable to catch Portland at the top of the table.

U13 - Bridport Youth 8 - 2 Portland United
Bridport went into this game feeling maybe a little deflated, after knowing if they could have secured a win last week at Poole, that a win today could have seen them maybe crowned league champs or at-least runners up.
U12 - Bridport Youth 3 - 3 Blandford High Flyers
With only 10 players, Youth played hosts to Blandford who decided to play with the wind in their favour for the first half helping them greatly to open the scoreline with a penalty 10 minutes in. Stand in keeper Callum was close to saving it as it just passed under his arms, but Youth responded well and continually tried to find a way through the Blandford defence.

If you were not at this game and just heard the score you would have thought this was a comfortable victory but it was not. Okeford are a very determined side who close down well, defend in numbers and look to hit the opposition on the counter attack.
